Subterranean show

This was a fun one. The Subterranean is in the heart of Wicker Park, so it was kind of cool to do something that would be so locally visible.

My "boss" and I made the concept based on the name of the venue and that the event was part of a competition in which the best of a group of promoters would receive a Ford car. But it's also similar to my Macchina Perduta series, so it was totally up my alley. The weird cave things are based off of the hall of the giants in Carlsbad Caverns (if anyone is interested).

In this version of the design, I drew pretty much all of the text by hand (fun, but time-consuming), a skill I'm working to develop these days.
